Here is a great link for a color wheel. Really is a useful tool when trying neutralize another color.

Hello,

Just out of curiosity, where would you place the color tone of BB kits on that wheel? I see it as the outermost ring of #10 headed toward #11, but we all don't perceive color the same.

Thanks,

Iris

Hi Iris yes I would place them #10 or #11. I use the mint green before I lay my 1st layer of flesh tone.

This is the Color Wheel, called a Color Computer, that I use . It is by far the best, and easy to use. It shows how to mix, add color to= shows the color you will get by doing this. Has the (How To) on the wheel also suggested color mixes for flesh, as well as other colors. You use both sides of this wheel. I was given this wheel in my Interior Design Class. It is what they use so it can be used for the home as well as painting babies. I use it all the time! On the back is the "Color Harmony Colors",telling what color compliments another. The uses are endless and the price is fantastic. Take a look...also use the (zoom-in button to enlarge)
Your gonna luv this one, In my opinion, the best I have found!

It is made by M. Grumbacher, Inc for...Artists, Illustrators, Designers, Architects, Art Directors; Interior Decorators, & Instructors.....

IN the Acrylic paint section you can find what is called an [Extender].
This is used when you want to keep your acrylics from drying out to fast.
I have never used it to do a wash on vinyl but it works well to blend with
your acrylic paints to extend drying time . Just go by the mixing directions on the bottle.

Okay, say your vinyl is too red and you want to neutralize it. You would do that by making a wash of the color opposite it on the color spectrum, which in this case is green. Any color is neuralized by the color opposite it on the color wheel.

This is the best and most simple to understand on ow to mix color. Do each page and I think you will understand the theory of Color and the use of it. This is for the classroom, but it is also great for people who don't understand the color wheel. Have fun! :P

I have found a "COLOR WHEEL", that can be downloaded to your computer and printed off for your personal use for those who don't have a wheel.

Here you go:
